Workshop-conference: Digitizing a museum collection.
As part of Culture Days, the Musée acadien du Québec (MAQ) invites you to attend the workshop-conferenceDigitizing a Museum Collection, which will take place on Sunday, October 1, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., in the Gospel Chapel.
Join Laurie Beaudoin, curator at the MAQ, and our guest Camillia Buenestado Pilon, history and heritage consultant, for the presentation of the new digitization policy that has enabled us to develop a digital platform providing access to 100 objects from our collection!
The lecture will be followed by a photography workshop under a light box. For this occasion, the Museum is offering you the opportunity to have one of your personal treasures photographed by our team! This object could be a letter, a photograph of your ancestors, or even a small item that has been passed down from generation to generation.
The activity will end with a free tour of the museum's exhibitions.
