The main objective of our fundraising campaign is to raise funds to support the Museum in its activities, whether it be facilitating the preservation and promotion of its collection or contributing to the influence of Acadian culture in Quebec. To achieve its objectives, this campaign works closely with the business community and individuals affected by the Museum's mission, which is to "raise awareness of the Acadian destiny in Quebec."

By contributing to the fundraising campaign, you are participating in the advancement and development of the Museum. Your donation will help keep alive the memory and recognition of Acadians in Quebec while ensuring the Museum's sustainability and the development of specific projects such as the expansion of the facility.

Thanks to the Mécénat Placement Culture program of the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications, the Museum receives a matching grant equivalent to a percentage of the funds raised. Thus, for every dollar donated, the Quebec Ministry of Culture and Communications makes an additional contribution to the fund, creating a multiplier effect. The goal of the program is to ensure the autonomy and financial security of cultural organizations.

Endowment fund

The Gaspésie-les-Îles Community Foundation manages the funds raised in a perpetual fund calledthe Acadian Museum of Quebec Fund. By contributing to the fundraising campaign, you are helping to advance and develop the Museum.

The Musée acadien du Québec is a recognized non-profit organization authorized to issue official tax receipts (12262 1006 RR0001). You will therefore receive a tax deduction receipt for the amount of your contribution by mail.

Donation of items

Involvement does not always have to be financial. Do you have any items that may have historical or cultural value? By donating them to us, you will enable the Museum to expand its collection, while also ensuring that your item is optimally protected and given a new lease of life.
