28th Operation Santa Claus campaign in Gaspésie

As the holiday season approaches, financial pressure on many households makes it difficult to celebrate Christmas. The painful choice between putting food on the table or buying gifts for the children is obvious, but heartbreaking.

The team atthe Musée acadien du Québecwants to give back to its community by helping disadvantaged children enjoy a happier Christmas. That's why we're joining forces with theBaie-des-Chaleurs Chamber of Commerce and Industryto launch the 28th Operation Santa Claus Foundation campaign in the Gaspé Peninsula!

What is Operation Santa Claus?

Since 1995, Operation Santa Claus has been a non-profit organization that allows generous donors to become Santa Claus for a disadvantaged child who would otherwise receive no gifts under the tree. By accepting this role, Santa Clauses must purchase one of the gifts requested by the child, wrap it, and drop it off at a designated location.

TWO WAYS TO SUPPORT THE CAUSE:

1. Becoming Santa Claus

The role of Santa Claus is to purchase a gift mentioned in a letter from a child in your assigned region. The gift must be wrapped and delivered to a pickup point near your home. Help us recruit 100 Santa Clauses in the Gaspé Peninsula!

To register, please send the following information: name, phone number, email address, and city of residence to the email address : [email protected] . A volunteer from the Operation Santa Claus Foundation will contact you between November 16 and December 7, 2022, to confirm your registration.

2. Make a donation

It is also possible to make a donation directly on the Operation Santa Claus Foundation website. These donations enable us to respond to last-minute requests that have not been matched with a local Santa Claus.
