Christmas activities at the Museum!

The Musée acadien du Québec presents its program of Christmas activities, which will take place from December 4 to 27! This year, the heritage site will be illuminated by magical lights from the company MR Son. Next, the organization Dans Cuisine invites you to a day of traditional dance and music workshops. Finally, the choir Les voix de l'amitié will perform Christmas carols at the Bonaventure church to get you in the holiday spirit!

Illumination of the heritage site

From December 4 to 27, the Museum will be illuminated by light projections from the company MR Son ! Young and old alike will be able to admire the entire heritage site decorated for the holiday season!

Workshops and traditional dance evening

Saturday, December 9, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Dans Cuisine will be back at the Gospel Chapel to offer you a day of training in traditional dances and music from the Gaspé Peninsula!

Schedule for the day:
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Traditional music workshop.
1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Jig workshop with Francine Renzetti.
3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Gaspé dance workshop.
7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.: Traditional dance evening with Lucille Arseneault on the câll, Laura Sadowsky on the violin, Guy Bouchard on the guitar, and Martin Henry on the violin.

A fee of $10 per activity is required.

Christmas Carols with Les Voix de l’Amitié

On Saturday, December 16, from 3 to 4 p.m., the choir Les Voix de l’Amitié will perform Christmas carols atthe Bonaventure church. Come discover the church in a festive holiday atmosphere while visiting the miniature Christmas village! The Museum invites the public to make a $5 contribution for this activity. Donations will be given to the Bonaventure Parish Church.
