Customer service representative

The Évangéline boutique is part of the Musée acadien du Québec's summer offerings. Located in a historic building, the boutique features a selection of crafts, local products, and works by local artists, highlighting the region's cultural richness and expertise. This position is an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Gaspé art while working in an authentic and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities:

Operate the cash register and prepare end-of-day reports;
Maintain the quality of product presentation on the shelves;
Ensure the store is kept clean;
Advise customers in their search for products;
Monitor customers to prevent shoplifting.

Required skills and qualities:

Ability to use a cash register and a computer;
Knowledge of product sales is an asset;
Interpersonal skills, diligence, and independence;
Interest in handicrafts, local products, and works of art.

Terms of employment:

Salary: starting at $16.10 per hour and adjusted according to the current salary scale;
15% discount on products in store;
Reimbursement for several tourist activities;
Fixed schedule for the summer.

Seasonal position for 10 weeks, 21 hours per week. Daytime hours. Start date desired: June 23, 2025. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
