is Bonaventure, two museums open their doors free of charge on the first Sunday of every month!

 

This Sunday, July 4, the public will enjoy free admission to the Bioparc de la Gaspésie and the Musée acadien du Québec.

This measure, which applies to residents of Quebec, aims to promote access, participation, and contribution to culture for all. It came into effect on Sunday, June 3, 2018.[1]

The Bioparc is delighted to participate in this initiative, launched by the Department of Culture and Communications, and to partner with the Acadian Museum to offer the people of Baie-des-Chaleurs some extraordinary Sundays! The local and regional population is invited to rediscover its museums—there are 13 in the Gaspé Peninsula, each one as surprising as the next.”

About Bioparc

To visit the Bioparc as part of Free Sundays, advance reservations are required via the online ticket office in the "Sunday at the Museum—Free Ticket" section. Be sure to book early, as space is limited. Take advantage of this day to discover the outdoor exhibition of masterful works by animal painters Monique and Gisèle Benoît. In addition, naturalist guides will be on hand to present brand new discovery and science outreach activities.

About the Acadian Museum of Quebec

New temporary exhibition starting July 1. Take advantage of your visit to rediscover the permanent exhibition Une Acadie québécoise with the whole family! No reservation is necessary before your visit. The Museum is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feel free to use the outdoor tables for a picnic!
