The Museum's summer program!

This summer, set off on an adventure with Capitaine Acadie, lend your voice to a show of traditional songs, immerse yourself in the world of lullabies, and take part in the great Acadian celebration!

The team at the Musée acadien du Québec is proud to unveil its summer program!

Starting June 24, the entire site will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., delighting visitors of all ages!

Captain Acadia

Summer Exhibition: The World of Captain Acadia 

Attention! A meteorite has fallen in Bonaventure, spilling a bunch of aliens and unusual objects at the MAQ!

The exhibition The Universe of Captain Acadia invites you to follow the adventures of the Acadian superhero while discovering augmented reality and the content of his comic books! This exhibition, created by Bedecomics Studios, is on display untilOctober29.

Traditional song show: Singing tour – En D’sour du Prélart

Tuesdays in July, at 7p.m., in the Gospel Chapel, voluntary contribution.

Artist Pierre-André Bujold is back with a show dedicated to traditional songs from the Baie-Des-Chaleurs repertoire. During the performances, the audience will participate in a sing-along that will allow them to discover this repertoire, a reminder of cultural transmission between generations.

Participatory sound installation: Rocking Time

August8 and 9, from 11a.m.to 5p.m., free activity.

A gentle immersion into the world of lullabies, Rocking Time invites you on a journey aboard rocking chairs set up outside on the grounds of the Musée acadien du Québec. Listen to the whispers and let yourself be carried away by the echoes of childhood through songs from here and elsewhere, with more than 1,500 lullabies in 75 languages. The mobile recording studio, set up in an old Westfalia, opens its doors to those who wish to share a singing memory and leave their own mark.
