Meet 5 historical figures from the region

With Living portraits, the history of the Gaspé Peninsula comes to life through digital portraits installed in five museums across the region. These iconic figures share their stories with you in a fun and interactive way.

  • Jacques Cartier, intrepid explorer, awaits you at the Musée de la Gaspésie.
  • Pierre Nadon, renowned archaeologist, tells you about his discoveries at the Parc du Bourg de Pabos.
  • Charles Robin, an influential businessman, is unveiled at the Paspébiac National Site.
  • John Le Boutillier, a visionary businessman, welcomes you to Manoir Le Boutillier.
  • Marguerite Bujold, a resilient Acadian, shares her story at the Musée acadien du Québec.

These paintings, which appear static at first glance, come to life when a panel is activated. Prepare to be amazed as these portraits spring into motion, even moving from one screen to another.

With stories available in French and English, this indoor activity is accessible to the whole family.
