Value of the item
This object bears witness to the life of a person of Acadian origin from Bonaventure. Marie-Eva Poirier (1873-1955) was the daughter of William and Marie Babin de Fauvel. She married Oswald Poirier (1875-1958) on April 23, 1901. On the back of the painting, it says that she was the mother of Freddy Bourdages, but this information appears to be incorrect.
