Value of the item
The object bears witness to the life of Elizabeth Arsenault (1832-1909), a person of Acadian origin from Bonaventure, who married Jean-Baptiste Bourdages, known as "Jim," on November 24, 1855. According to the transcription on the back of the image, she was Jim Bourdages' first wife. According to their marriage certificate, Jean-Baptiste was a farmer.
