Value of the item

The object bears witness to the development of Acadian and Gaspé society in general, and more specifically, to the commercial ties between Les Petites-Cadies and the world during the industrial era. This bottle of wine is believed to have come from Ontario. It is a Bright's brand. According to some sources, it dates back to the 1940s.

It should be noted that the carved wooden stopper appears to have been handmade and added later.
