En D’sour du Prélart: Talk show with Pierre-André Bujold

Artist Pierre-André Bujold presents a show featuring traditional songs from the Baie-Des-Chaleurs repertoire.

Tour de chant – En D’sour du Prélart will be presented every Tuesday in July at 7 p.m. in the Gospel Chapel on the grounds of the Musée acadien du Québec.

After receiving a grant from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the artist searched through the archives of several institutions to collect hundreds of traditional songs that were recorded in Baie-des-Chaleurs between the 1950s and 1980s. In the summer of 2022, the artist presented the talk-show En D’sour du Prélart. Through this talk, he presented his approach and some of his discoveries in the archives.

SINGING TOUR SHOW – UNDER THE PRETENDER IN THE GOSPEL CHAPEL

With the show Tour de chant – En D’sour du Prélart, Pierre-André Bujold aims to showcase the songs, reviving and rediscovering part of this rich repertoire for the people of the region. This presentation also pays tribute to the men and women who played a significant role in the cultural transmission of their era.
