Return to the water | Maryse Goudreau

From September 30 to December 20, 2021, the Musée acadien du Québec presents Retourner à l'eau, a new exhibition created by multidisciplinary artist Maryse Goudreau from the Gaspé Peninsula.

The artist from Escuminac (recipient of the CALQ Artist of the Year Award 2020 in Gaspésie) explores social, political, and environmental issues in works that navigate between photography, sound art, performance, installation, and cinema. For nearly ten years, the artist has been fascinated by beluga whales, whose social and political history she has reconstructed through the creation of a vast archive.
