The MAQ is the recipient of an Award of Excellence

The Quebec Museum Society presents its Awards of Excellence

The project Maisons Mémoire project, produced by the Musée acadien du Québec (MAQ), has won an Award of Excellence from the Société des Musées du Québec (SMQ). The award was presented during the "Musées en transformation" conference on October 14 in Laval.

The Acadian Museum of Quebec project was selected for exceeding museum standards in terms of both content and form, and for demonstrating initiative, innovation, and creativity. The application presented all the resources deployed by the MAQ to implement the project, including dissemination, museum education, collection management, museum management, and research and development of knowledge by its team and the public.

The Excellence Awards are presented annually by the SMQ to encourage best practices and stimulate innovation among its members.
