Jeunes Chanteurs d’Acadie in Bonaventure
As part of the celebrations for the 35th anniversary of the Musée acadien du Québec, we are pleased to welcome the Jeunes chanteurs d'Acadie choir, which will make Bonaventure its only stop in Quebec during this spring tour.
On Friday, May 23, at 8 p.m., at the Bonaventure Church, discover the show L’Acadie en chœur, a one-hour journey through the rich history of the Acadians. Through contemporary poetry, traditional Acadian folklore, dance, and religious and modern songs, this concert offers a touching and fresh look at Acadian culture.
Founded in 1969, the Jeunes chanteurs d’Acadie choir is made up of around forty young singers aged 11 to 18. It is internationally renowned for its performances and varied repertoire, combining classical, traditional, and modern music.
The first part will be performed by the group Troiselle.
The voices of Isabelle Bujold, Nadine Hébert, and Monique Poirier are at their best when they sing together! They offer a show that they first created for their own enjoyment, featuring covers, original songs, and a varied repertoire in terms of language, origin, and themes. The common thread? Warm, sometimes surprising harmonies, tightly woven together. Under the musical direction of François Émond, TROISELLE invites you to dive into their world!
