Working at the Musée acadien du Québec is much more than just a job: it's an enriching cultural immersion within a welcoming team! As soon as you start, we offer you two weeks of training to become a cultural mediation pro! With daytime hours, you can enjoy your summer and visit the region's tourist attractions.
Tasks:
- Welcoming visitors and leading outreach workshops;
- Operate the ticket office at the museum and the cash register at the Évangéline store;
- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the site.
Required skills and qualities:
- Curiosity, independence, professionalism, and diligence;
- Be attentive to visitors' needs and answer their questions;
- Knowledge of the region and tourist attractions (an asset);
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Good communication and ability to convey information.
Working conditions:
- Fixed schedule with two consecutive days off per week;
- Mediation training provided by the employer;
- Reimbursement for tourist activities in the region;
- Salary: starting at $17.17 per hour and adjusted according to the current salary scale.
Seasonal position for 10 weeks, 35 hours per week. Daytime hours. Start date desired: June 9, 2025. Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled.
